Just a small fish in a big river, trying to swim upstream; and mixing metaphors like a champ.

Though I’ve only been writing professionally for three years, it’s something that I’ve been doing my whole life. Creating stories and worlds has always been my favorite pastime, and seeing the looks on people’s faces when they read my work is something I’ll never get tired of.

As with all writers, my style has been influenced by the juggernauts of my chosen genre, chief among them Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and H.P. Lovecraft. However, my greatest lesson came when I read a biography of Mark Twain. An author should strive for nothing more than to create “a good story well told,” and it’s that axiom that has guided me for many years.

Though blogging may be untrod ground for me, I’m always looking for ways to improve, and I hope that experimenting in this new space will help me develop my skills for the better.
